Presenting at the NIHR Three Schools' Mental Health Programme Conference

On Thursday 12th February, we (Nabiha Waheed and Hafsah Awan) had the fortunate opportunity to present at the NIHR Three Schools' Mental Health Programme Showcase. The event brought together researchers, practitioners and stakeholders from across the UK to share ongoing work and explore opportunities for collaboration in mental health research.

We presented our work on co-designing a culturally informed walking group for Muslim mothers, highlighting the importance of community-led approaches to supporting perinatal mental health. Our presentation focused on key insights from our co-design work, including the role of safety, trust and connection in shaping engagement.
